Congratulations to Valerie Harbour!

Named the 2007 "Ingrid Fry Member of the Year", Valerie is an Account Executive at "The Villager Newspaper".

A key to the success of any chamber of commerce is the level at which its membership contributes to organizing and executing events that bring value to both the membership as well as the community at-large.

Valerie, who is a high energy gen y'r immediately became a contributor from the moment she came to the Greenwood Village Chamber serving as a committee member on "The Taste of Greenwood Village" and a Chamber Ambassador.  Over the past year, she has stepped in to become the Chair of the Ambassador Committee and Co-Chair of "The Taste".

The Taste has become the premier taste event of its kind across the Front Range and much of that success can be attributed to the leadership that Valerie brings to the organizing committee.

As an Ambassador, there is no better role model.  Ambassadors serve as "ice breakers" at chamber events by facilitating introductions and starting conversations and to a person, everyone will say that her warm approach, contagious smile, and outgoing personality make everyone feel welcome.

Further, Ambassadors are an integral part of the Chamber's welcome and retention programs.  Valerie manages to motivate her fellow ambassadors and keeps the Ambassador programs operating well.

In 2008, Valerie has become a member of the Board of Directors and will surely be a strong contributor in that role as well.
